Patients often ask us how someone becomes a board certified hearing instrument specialist. Kurt's current position offers us a glimpse into that process. Upon completion of a 2,000 hour internship, he will be required to pass a number of tests. First, the state written and practical examinations will be administered. These will be followed by an international licensing examination. Once all of these are completed, Kurt will be officially licensed to practice as a hearing instrument specialist.
